Award description

The CFUW Victoria Women in Technology Entrance Award is a non-repayable award to provide financial assistance to student(s) entering any technology program at AV资源 in the Fall semester.

Criteria

  • Must be accepted into a full-time course of study in any technology program the upcoming Fall semester.
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Preference will be given to a woman.

Application process

  • Complete applications must be submitted by November 15. All supporting documentation must be received by this date. Late, incomplete, or printed applications will not be accepted.
  • Adjudication of this award will be managed by the Financial Aid & Awards office. All decisions are final.
  • Successful recipients will be notified by email by December 1.听
  • Award will be applied directly to the student's Camosun account. If tuition and fees have already been paid, the surplus amount will be refunded.
  • Entrance awards cannot be deferred to a future semester or year.

Additional information

  • Students will not normally receive more than one entrance award.
  • Students receiving Persons with Disabilities or Income Assistance should speak with Financial Aid & Awards and their Ministry case worker to discuss how bursary funds may impact their government assistance.
  • Bursary funds are considered income. A statement for income tax purposes will be sent to recipients by Camosun.
  • Bursary recipients are encouraged to write a thank you letter to the donor; thank you letters can be submitted to Financial Aid & Awards at either campus.
