Award description

The BCDHA First Year Achievement Award is for a BCDHA student member who demonstrates the highest overall standing after completing their first year of dental hygiene studies.

Nominations by faculty open in October (annually)

Criteria

The student must:

be enrolled in first year of the Dental Hygiene (DHYG) Diploma program during the current offering or academic calendar year.

Most of the awards are given to students on the basis of nomination. You will be selected by your instructors or the chair of the department based on your academic performance, enthusiasm, participation and volunteer or work experience.
